Front of the Mill
This is a rare opportunity to experience a part of England's industrial heritage and stay in a restored watermill, which in it’s heyday formed the focal point of the local communities’ life. It is located in a tranquil rural valley, at the epicenter of the areas’ many bridle paths.
It was originally built in the sixteenth century, and then rebuilt in the eighteen hundreds. It has recently been sympathetically converted by a specialist architect, to combine the comforts of modern living while retaining the character and feel of the original working mill. The initials of some of the original workers can be seen carved in the beams.
We fell in love with the mill when we first saw it, and tried to keep it’s character. We hope you enjoy the mill as much as we do and have a good stay.
